An abstract visual music piece combining analog and digital synthesis mixed through VJ software and a circuit bent video processor to a droning soundtrack produced with a Roland GR-55 Synthesizer and an old Tascam 4-track cassette recorder.
An abstract piece resembling stained glass windows overlapping and changing as a cacophony of bells echo across the ages. Inspired by the gradual layered development of the Notre Dame Cathedral and it’s partial destruction on April 15, 2019 which inadvertently provided it with a new opportunity for evolution–aesthetic or otherwise. Video generated with Lumen and remixed live via Arkaos GrandVJ. The soundtrack was produced with a Roland GR-55 guitar synthesizer.
Real-time video mix performed live in the studio to Rochester, NY-based DJ Riley Beats’ set recorded on June 28th, 2014 at Fred’s Woodshed in Tioga, PA. Mixed from multiple found footage sources as well as original footage by Mike Celona.
