Mike Celona is a media artist, editor and VJ based in Rochester, NY whose works have been shown at numerous festival, museum and gallery exhibitions around the world since 2005.

I’ve always been interested in exploring the unique aesthetic and technical properties of the video medium as a means of expression through synthesis, digital & analog processing and the selective sequencing of images (both found as well as my own) to form collages that do something other than tell a conventional story.

In addition, the development of accessible 360 VR technology has led me to experiment with the creation of immersive versions of my works on common platforms such as YouTube and Vimeo.

More recently I’ve begun my Cinematheque live A/V project as a means of building upon my years of experience working as a VJ to further explore the creative possibilities of combining electronic music with live video image generation and manipulation.
